Our "day jobs" are as managers, Katherine in an international environmental consulting firm and Ron in the information technology area of a large, Arizona professional association. Katherine and Ron are accredited ministers, ordained in 2001. We both teach, as well: Ron teaches graduate business classes and Katherine teaches Qi Gong in colleges and privately. We are also involved with a local Foundation for Intercultural Dialogue.

Our Wisdom Group community began in January of 2001 as a small group of people led by Ron LaMee and Katherine Roxlo came together to create a permanent study group based on The Four Agreements, a best-selling book by don Miguel Ruiz.  Later that year, Sixth Sun Foundation started its "Wisdom Group" initiative, and our group was named.

From that beginning, a community has grown and we have helped start Wisdom Groups all over the world.  We have great gratitude and love for all those who have spent time with us and look forward to meeting you!

Wisdom Group Activities

Activities at Phoenix Wisdom include regular meetings, weekend and evening workshops, and occasional "field trips" to be in Nature or visit an intriguing event which has caught our eye.

Regular meetings are usually held twice each month on Friday evenings from 7:00 – 9:00 pm in our home.  The schedule varies greatly due to our ongoing participation in sessions with don Miguel, dona Barbara Emrys, and other teachers.  There is no charge or "love offering" requested for these meetings.  For more dates and times, we invite you to click here to visit our Schedule page.

We welcome all interested persons, regardless of their prior experience.  Although most people have traveled a variety of spiritual or self-help paths, many who come to these meetings are new to this work.  Although the format varies, meetings normally include discussion and meditation-like exercises.

Workshops are held from time to time, also at our home.  We may host a well-known teacher or we may present programs ourselves.  This schedule varies, so it's best to leave us your email address or click here to visit our Schedule page.

Field Trips are good for shifting the energy and sharing new experiences.  Recently we attended a performance at Gammage Auditorium of the Whirling Dervishes of Rumi.  We have also attended Gong Meditations with a local Yogi.  Last, but not least, sometimes we declare a party night and have a family potluck.

Our Philosophy

Simply, we have no religious or political agenda – everyone is welcome.  Our beliefs tend toward personal responsibility, individual choice, unconditional love, and being "in the Now."  Whatever issues you have, we will try to help you find a different viewpoint, but we find that restless seekers who are broken-spirited or filled with drama usually don't stay long – their reflection in our mirrors is too strong.  Those who continue to work with us are committed to personal freedom and living Heaven on Earth.
